Not a great big resort so easy to get from the rooms to wherever you needed to go. We have the dinner reservation policy due to the small capacity of the restaurants so everybody can get fairly in to the restaurants being an all inclusive restaurant. There are also plans to expand and make a new fitness facility. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, I can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of. We hope to welcome you very soon back to our resort! Several of the staff deserve special shout outs since they consistently provide superior service such as the manager and concierges of the First Club; Ivette Croes, Marolyn Heyliger, and Belinda Martinez. We had to move our rooms for a walk-in shower so there would be not accidents. The first day we were there we tried to make dinner reservations and all restaurants were booked until four days later. Two perfect weeks at the Occidental Grand Aruba enjoying the impeccable weather, beautiful water and beaches. Thank you for keeping on coming to our resort calling this your home away from home. The concierge rooms were upgraded and are beautiful!! There wasn't anything they missed to make our stay comfortable and special. We look forward to welcome you many more years! Getting a reservation for the restaurants was difficult. The bar staff was awesome, couple of my favorites Cesar and Michael. They treated us with class and took complete pride and dignity in their jobs.{/INSERTKEYS}{/PARAGRAPH} Each time I stayed there they remembered me and that it a truly welcoming, satisfying feeling. The hotel is strategically located right in the center of the famous Palm beach area within foot steps of great shopping and restaurants and paths that parallel the beach for walking or jogging. First time to this resort and we looked all over for this room since we didn't have anybody telling us exactly where it was. Although a request is not a guarantee we always tray to accommodate our guests requests to their conveniences. The food at the buffet and separate restaurants were all great, especially the first one we went was the Seafood Restaurant where I had steak and lobster. This Hotel always provided immaculate rooms, a great well manicured swimming pool area overlooking a clean well kept beach, with both beach and pool bars, and a beautiful lobby area. I just had my 3rd stay at the Occidental. The hot water in tower 2 was not always hot. In these 5 a la carte restaurant we have the Mexican a la carte restaurant with the facilitation of walk-in between pm and pm. The staff on the concierge level were truly wonderful! We thank you for choosing our resort to spend one of the most important lifetimes in life called vacation at our hotel. The steak at every place was awesome, you could cut them with a butter knife. If you wanted a chair and umbrella at the beach, you need to to come down at AM and try to talk to one of the workers to have them save you a spot. We are delighted to have had you as our guests. The hotel is undergoing some sprucing up and it looks great!! Some of the hotel rooms have a shower and bath in which you have to step over about three feet to get in. Shrimp, lobster, and split crab was offered on the buffet, that was a first for us. Some people were already checked in when they realized that we were a group. Your feedback is a jewel to us and it sure helps us to improve our quality of services. I absolutely love the staff there. But am happy to report after that little fiasco things improved greatly. Told us to go to another area to get checked in which was down the hall. The Italian was good but not really a big deal, the pasta station they had in the buffet was just as good.
